Youth and Family Worker
Part time (20 hrs) – £9,360pa + pension
Our enthusiastic and supportive congregation of all ages is looking forward to welcoming a friendly and committed individual to enable the continued growth of our work with children, young people and their families in the church and local area.
As our Youth and Family worker, you would be responsible for leading the discernment and implementation of a strategic vision for this work, liaising closely with the minister and Youth Development Team. We are keen to explore how each candidate’s particular strengths and interests would open up the potential within the many opportunities for ministry that exist in our church and community. We expect the exact nature of the role to be shaped by the growth of the successful candidate and his/her ministry.
Having recently secured additional funding to extend the hours of this role, this is an exciting time to be joining our ministry as we seek to build on the relationships and projects that have been established over the last few years.
If you want the chance to take on and develop this rewarding role, please send a covering letter with your CV and details of two referees to Fiona Gardner (FGardner@churchofscotland.org.uk).
For more information, please contact Fiona (email as above, or phone 07800 891 443).
Preferred candidates will be required to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update prior to a formal offer of employment being made.
