Christian Aid Sunday

Christian Aid Sunday

Christian Aid is 70 years old this year. The readings today were Psalm 98 and Luke 8:1-15

Looking at the origins of Christian Aid in helping struggling Germans after WW II, Fiona asks us to think about what our heart is like. How do we receive the challenges of God’s word. Are we hard hearted. do we recognise that we are all our brothers’ keeper and we have a duty of care for all which requires us to respomd with love.

What does love look like?

“It has hands to help other. It has feet to hasten to the poor and needy. It has eyes to see misery and want. It has ears to hear the sighs and sorrows of our fellow humans.”

“May we have lives of love”
